Hailed the father of gourmet, ethical raw foods cuisine in America, Dr. Aris LaTham has enjoyed 30-plus years of success as a living foods culinary genious, educator and food scientist.
His diverse qualities and experience span from rendering consulting services to natural foods market pioneering giant Whole Foods; master chef for the Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, FL; caterer to the United States Congress, The Discovery Channel and numerous celebrities, including Prince and Sidney Poitier; keynote presenter at both the 36th World Vegetarian Congress in Florianopolis, Brazil and the European Vegetarian Congress in Riccione, Italy; as well as manager of the Queen of Sheba Restaurant at The Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, Jamaica.
Dr. Aris has been a strict vegetarian for 41 years and a living-‘raw’ foodist for 35 years. His career as a Sunfired Food scientist, linguist and educator can be traced back to his ancestrial legacy.
Born in Gatun Panama Canal Zone, he is the direct decendent of an African-Caribbean family of culinary griots.
He’s followed in the footsteps of his mother and grandmother who were living examples, always buying fresh whole foods from local farmer’s markets, cooking and preparing family favorites, and even placing the entire family on weekly fasting regimines.
After immigrating to the U.S. and experiencing the American way of life and consumption, Aris rejected the Standard American Diet (SAD) and became a vegan and ultimately a vegan raw foodist.
